A Swinging Good Time: Bayan Shares Tips on How to Pamper Golfers

Bayan Business, Bayan Telecommunications (Bayan) corporate & business solutions arm recently treated their premier clients to more than just a round of golf in the recently concluded 2009 Executive Golf Exclusive held at the oldest golf course in the Philippines, Iloilo Golf Country Club, Santa Barbara, Iloilo.

Top executives of major corporations in the country knew they were in for a “hole new world” as soon as they stepped off the plane and were greeted by lovely ladies and escorted to their VIP shuttles marked with the Bayan logo.

It was first-class pampering from then on until the end of the three-day golf getaway.

“We wanted to treat our clients to an exclusive experience they truly deserve. Because of their hectic schedules, we knew that our only hope to tear them away from their desks is to charter them all the way to the golf course,” says Chito Franco, Bayan Business Head, with a smile.
He adds, “Our singular objective was to show them a good time.”

And a good time they had. Participants were all raves for the event.

“We had the golfers in mind all through the planning of the activities, the preparation of the golf kits and, of course, the design of the tournament itself,” says Anne David, Marketing Head for Bayan Business. “Every step of the way, it was about bringing the experience of a golf tournament to another level.”

Of course, one needs to unwind after a day of serious golfing. Bayan capped-off the days with parties where the executives were treated to unlimited food, overflowing drinks and all-night entertainment. Mingling, networking and basically having a blast, the hard-working executives were given the time to really get to know their Bayan business partners away from the hustle and bustle of the city—staying true to Bayan’s mantra of not having their relationships end with a plug on the wall.
